ReplyDeleteNewsstand nirvna!
I remember the comic machines at the grocery stores in NO. Comics were .12 and machines only took dimes and pennies. Payphones, by state law, were a nickel, so in La no one had or used dimes. Happiest day ever for me as a kid, was when my dad saw me reading one, and said the place he went to regularly to buy the daily racing forum, sold them outside a machine. Started going with him everytime he went to buy the racing forum to get my comics.
