I was in your position a few months ago. Always thought it would be difficult, but then found it was really simple.

If you want to try it, start simple by uploading one mp3 file rather than getting into the full lp tracks in a folder zippy thing.

Go to upload one of my files, eg the Rawlinson End file, and when you get taken to the download site, you will see a big blue sign saying "upload file" or similar, click on this, then choose your file from your hard disk that you want to give to the 4/5 guys and this will be uploaded to the download site.

You will see the address of where it is stored e.g. https://www.imagenetz.de/js3zq and all you need to do is copy that address to the Isle of Foam comments box et voila as those frenchies say.

You can get more refined than this, but that'll start you off.

I have downloaded three jewelled antler library book.m3u files but I'm not sure what they are. Is that what you meant to upload?

Wikipedia tells me they are :

M3U (MP3 URL[1][2] or Moving Picture Experts Group Audio Layer 3 Uniform Resource Locator[3] in full) is a computer file format for a multimedia playlist. One common use of the M3U file format is creating a single-entry playlist file pointing to a stream on the Internet. The created file provides easy access to that stream and is often used in downloads from a website, for emailing, and for listening to Internet radio.

Not sure if any of the lazy bums on here can help?

I guess it all hinges on whether you know which directory the mp3 file is stored in and if you can navigate yourself there, so that you can pick it up.

Trouble with all this is no-one has a clue how computer literate the next 4/5 guy is nor how they play their mp3s. If I can help, let me know, seeing as its Christmas 'n all.

Congratulations caller, your upload has been succesful.

Next lesson is how to produce a folder of tracks eg anelpee and zip it up into one file and upload that file.

If you are already downloading music files, then I assume you already have a method of unzipping them? Therefore all you need to do is reverse the process.

You will need to create a folder for the elpee of your choice, give it a suitable name and copy in the tracks. Then you need to press the magic button on your zip/rar program to create the zipped file. You might have to trial and error it a bit first, I know I had to.

Then you just upload as you have done above. Piece of cake (the Christmas variety)

      Bonne Chance mon frere.

      Yep that worked.

Mentioned earlier that you can start refining later e.g.

You can sign up to imagenetz and get your own account which enables you to see how many freeloading bums have downloaded your stuff.

I noticed that some of your tracks were flacs - I use a freebie program called "switch sound file convertor plus" to convert different formsts into mp3 or whatever.

Anyway, pleased to see you have succeded. I' ll now have to load up Brotherhood onto my Winged Carrot's cassete player and I'll be off.

    14. I want to thank you for all your help...no longer intimidated I shall soldier on.
Thanks for the tip about mixing flac and mp3.

A cautionary tale regarding Christmas and in particular any left over turkey you may have :
