Pal Joey

Vegas Babe Joey Heatherton recently honored us by hosting Who's In My Box? And you - th' Four Or Five Guys© worldwide - returned the honor by making it our most popular post ever! Well, second most - nothing will ever beat the Collected Annie Fanny. It does you all credit, I think, that Fine Literature and Music are forever uppermost in your minds. Th' Isle O' Foam© offers a safe haven for those sensitive souls fatigued by vulgarity and cheap thrills - those for whom Art and the Muse remain beacons of purity in a sullied world! Slobs like youse bums!

So it is with happy heart that I am able to share with you today the Complete Recorded Works of Ms. Heatherton, conveniently arranged under two attractive covers. You have The Joey Heatherton Album, from 1972, mixed (it says here) by none other than the WCPAEB's Michael Lloyd. And you have a swell second disc of the bonus tracks from the unavailable Hip-O-Select© limited edition re-issue. Hoo boy!

This post made possible by The Tremolo Foundation For Hot Tomatoes - thanks, Trem!

  1. To qualify for this package of pulchritude, at least four commenters must post a one-word comment that, in sequence, form a complete, grammatical, and uninterrupted sentence (ie four or more words - punctuation does not count). Comments of more than one word will be considered as interruptions, and the sentence will have to start again. OK?

  2. We did win the prize already, though, Apocalypse Now-style.

  3. Now, I don't know about her lungs, seeing as there's no link, but her tits are pretty nice, too.

  4. Back in the days before Adobe Photoshop Elements 2020, Adobe Lightroom and Skylum Luminar, there was airbrushing, and this gentlemen is a masterful example of that art form. Light and shadow......

  5. There, can the 4or5guys have the link now, Farq, or are you too busy listening to Dion DiMucci?

  6. It's a little distressing how such a simple rule set can be ignored and broken (I'm looking at you, OG June 17, 2020 at 8:50 PM).

A complete, grammatical, and uninterrupted sentence formed by at least four commenters has not been arrived at.

sambgodot also failed to understand or apply the rules.

    It is a shambles.

But a Stealth Link is embedded in this comment, because I'm on my sleep break here and want to wash my hands of the whole sorry business.

OG loses 301.06 FoamPoints, giving him negative equity.

    1. Hey, how did you get the valuation of my 401K?

    2. Ok, there's no full stop, but how is "The end is nigh" posted by four of the four or five guys not a full sentence?

      Delete
    3. 1 Because it's not terminated by a period

2 Because the word but immediately continues the sentence

    4. Yes, sirree Bob.

Not to get all up in your colon or nuttin' but...

And some might prefer that "Lists" (even if only two "items" long) be set up suchly:

      1. Item one.

      2. Item two.

Alternatively, for those who prefer a bit longer of a pause that doesn't refresh:

      1.) Item one.

      2.) Item the twooth.

    5. Aren't we a stickler for rules today, huh?

Not my fault that the senile part of the four or five guys can't keep up...

    6. Without Rules, the whole kit 'n kaboddle goes to hail in a hand-basket from the local A&P what hasn't been properly Sanitized.

Either that or to a distant Foam-y Isle inhabited by solely Word Nerds (and a virtual bikini model or two).

Oh, too late, we're already there.

  7. That's why my favorite t-shirt reads "It's On The Fucking
Syllabus." There should probably be a rubber stamp -- and
    an emoji.

  8. Yeah, or we need a t-shirt that says "Read the damn instructions". I could wear that to school all day every day - "Monsieur, on est censé de faire quoiiiiii?"

  10. "...makes up for arriving late to the party?"

    What?! That doesn't count?

O.K., yeah, so I didn't really wanna follow the Rules today (imagine that...) so, there ya have it. (I felt this dangling conflagration needed tying up. Call me Obssesive Compositionive, if you must.)

Oh, and, I feel at least partly irresponsible (and in saying so, am in no way trying to gain Foam Points...) for the whole ANNIE FANNY episode, having been the one who suggested it...

  11. Alla this brings to mind what I hereby put forth as Today's cliche du jour of the day.

    (Redundancy isn't just a gub'ment thing...):

"When all else fails, read the destructions"!

  12. You think because you asked for it, I went out and sourced it on the internet or somewhere and uploaded it?

Nope. I already had it on a hard drive - and everything else so far shared in the GCOLOTA series. I was going to upload it anyway. I was happy that you (and over a thousand other 4/5 guys) enjoyed it.

So consider your "suggestion" a request. If you want credit for making a request, here ya go:

  13. Back to tits...err...lungs...err, I mean, pipes.

She does have a pretty decent voice on this, doesn't she. Certainly a lot better than some other starlets who tried their hand on the whole singing thing.

  14. Cover Art was what it was all about, no?

How many of us grabbed at the Tina Louise or even Mae West LPs in hopes that they'd sing like a song bird?

Could you give me a hint where this Stealth link is? Ive managed to find every one you've posted until now this one eludes me......

  17. Thanks so much. This, truly, 'splains a lot.

Always wondered just what the heck that large black tower there was. Look just below the "MAD" pirate ship dirigible thing. Directly behind J. Fred (or is it Zippy the chimp...?)

    Anyhow, now we know.

It's NOT the newly re-opened Wynn Some, Lose Some More casino complex there on the sunny shores of Foam Isle. It's the world's largest Hard Drive.

(...Insert sound of one hand clapping...)

  18. The tower is the monolith, from 2001 (as is the bone in the sky), and the ape is JFM in his last screen role, in the same movie.
