Thirty Minutes Down The Rabbit Hole Dept.

For those of th' Four Or Five Guys© what downloaded the previous two curations in the series, this is exactly like more of the same only different. The same state-of-the-industry standards and best global practices alchemically combine to deliver excellence in deliverables  - the very best in our style of audial entertainment! You'll enjoy spotting familiar landmarks on this journey into the id, and yet there'll be surprises aplenty for the most experienced psychonaut!

As before, we strongly recommend ingesting catering-quantity hallucinogens - then you can wander off down the rabbit hole and not bother with listening to this. But should you get it together, headphones, eyes closed, and an undisturbed half hour to your bad self will be thirty minutes well spent!

  2. Big kudos & thanks for this wonderful mix. I didn't know you could do with audio what you do so well with imagery. A genuine keeper.

    1. I can only peg three of them. Two are pretty well known bands, and the other is kind of well known among psychedelia fans (and has been mentioned here on the IoF a few times in the distant past).

If Cthulhu threw together a band for Van Morrison, you might find a single letter from side two of their "underground" album...

      The rest? I don't have a clue.

    2. What, no 'Play Guitar in 7 Days'? Also, does the "*FOOTLOCKER CONTAINING ONE THOUSAND CONFEDERATE TROOPS!!!" come with a free chess and checkers game?

    4. Definitely raknahS ivaR the famous upside down sitar player for the first few seconds. I know my sitar albums. Very effective.

    5. I'm pretty sure Ravi doesn't feature on this one.

    6. I'm too lazy to check but that rave-up fuzz guitar on the penultimate song could be Group 1850? Or it could be someone else so either way I win!

    7. I'm kinda surprised that no one else has named the three that I hinted at yet. Most of the 4/5 are almost certainly familiar with all three groups, or at least two of the three.

    8. Mr Dave, well spotted! It is indeed someone else.

  4. It's a beauty!, but I don't recognise any artists or tracks and I really want to win the C-THRU "X-RAY" GLASSES.

I don't need the catering-quantity hallucinogens at the moment, just walking the mile to and from the shops this morning made me feel like I'd taken a hit on a bong, summer has arrived in the south of England and it's 28 degrees! I'm a lightweight when it comes to 'hot' temperatures, I don't know how the 4 or 5 guys who live in proper 'hot' countries get anything done?

Anyway thanks Farq, I look forward to a fourth installment.

    1. This is the last of the Barbarella/Alice 30mins - I've pretty much exhausted the source material. Very happy you're enjoying them!

    2. The audio for #4 will come from me. I started putting together a track list when Farq said he probably wouldn't do any more after #2. I'm wrapping up a huge work thing this week and will probably tackle assembling it next week.

Farq - I could definitely use one of your magic album covers for it. The planned title is still Thirty Minutes In Another Dimension.

    3. Take your time, no rush. I'll be pleased to do a cover (not the same as my three).

    4. Thanks! By now Jane and her Cheshire kitty could use some time off together anyway. It's "Another Dimension", so it's more like Doctor Strange territory.

I'm pulling together a few more potential sound bits for overlays. I'm still thinking I'll get to assembling it all at some point late next week.

  5. Wow - incredible job on the transitions, crossfades and overlays on this one, Farq. Amazing sound all the way through.

    3. That was one of my three in the hint above - "a band for Van Morrison".

The tips for the other two were Cthulhu and a single letter from side two of their "underground" album...

    4. Good detective work Torgo. So this is H.P. Lovecraft & Electric Prunes song I. Good job Farq.

    5. Yes, I acknowledged Torgo's hint of 'a band for Van Morrison' ("Ahhhhh! Hence Torgo's clue, above.") What I didn't get was that 'a single letter from side two....' was a separate clue; I thought that line was a reference to Them (The M). Funny how that works out.

  9. Just too lazy to type West Coast something something something. Anyway Roy Harris's sons were involved, not sure what he thought about it.
