ReplyDeleteTo grab this smut from the top shelf without being seen, simply share your choice of best comics artist!
Pretty much all of the Harvey Kurtzman gang from the early years of Mad.
DeleteDon Martin. So there!!
ReplyDeleteGotta agree.
DeleteI think we'll see a few Mad artists in the comments. My fave, by some way, is Will Elder. If you recognize his influence in the blog header, it's not accidental.

DeleteI just realized I think we covered this topic awready. So leave us discuss sumtin else - who's yer favrit Film Star? Be it Margaret Dumont? Sid James? Perhaps slinky siren Stockard Channing punches yer ticket? Place a vote for yer Movie Must-see here!
ReplyDeletedoes anyone here have a copy of the legendary long lost porn loop with sid and maggie from 1936?
DeleteIt wasn't "Maggie", it was UK's favorite "mum" of radio and television Thora Hird. It was rumored to be a three-way with Bernard Bresslaw (who filmed the steamy love romp on a hand-held Super 8 camera), but he's behind the camera. The "Loop" - actually under ten minutes of grainy footage - was long in the collection of Cyril Smith, but its whereabouts today are unknown.

just click on the cover you like the look of and the whole mag opens up for you. Probably works best with a big screen, because of the screen printed trippy layouts.
Sorry if you've featured this before, but it is great.
Antecedently FoamFeatured©, but always new to someone!
Delete(Favorite screen star, Bambers?)
Maaaan! you won't believe this but I'm not too sure. I love Werner Herzog films, and the animation of Jan Švankmajer, but Tilda Swinton or Trevor Howard (for Sir Henry at Rawlinson End) are the first names I can come up with, sorry.

Kate Beckinsale and Groucho Marx.
ReplyDeletehard to disagree
DeleteI'm not good at choosing favorites or "choosing" in general but Bridgette Bardot comes to mind (often). Always welcome the opportunity to expand my R. Crumb collection! Thanks!
ReplyDeleteSpeaking of comics, my favourite film stars are Thora Birch and Steve Buscemi, so you may be able to guess what my favourite film is.
ReplyDeleteCheers, Peanuts Molloy.
I loved Herbie Goes Bananas too.
