From our friend jcc. If you have any bitrate whines, please keep them to yourself. He's passing this along as it was passed to him, and we thank him for it.

Thanks to jcc, and to Farq!
DeleteGood ol' Uncle Neil.
I will listen to this first thing tomorrow morning, with French press coffee, and the Sunday morning spliff.
Perfect!
DeleteThanks to all involved, including Neil!
ReplyDeleteThank you, Neil!
DeleteThank you, jcc!
Thank you, Farq!
I never thought I would here an alternate Expecting To Fly. That's just the tip of the iceberg! There is much greatness in the old-tapes box!
The gold rush ain't over, yet!
Only got to see Neil live once. It was when he was on that right wing support kick (the Reagan years). Must have been some bad drugs. But, this looks like one hell of a comp. Thanks, guys!

ReplyDeleteHere is the message that is shown on the NYA archive website. Enjoy @320
'We were struck by an odd mood this morning and decided to give you the list of audio recently added to NYA rather than hinting it might be there and letting you dig for yourself. Copy this list to the forums before the mood passes and we return to opacity!"
Oh boy, oh boy, this looks great, thanks chaps.

many thanks, JKC!
DeleteMy pleasure, pmac. Enjoy
DeleteI hate to be "that guy" but ... I'm not sure my Pono™ will work with these lossy recordings. Can someone please upscale them to the hi-rez 24bit files that Uncle Neil (yes, the same one who recorded an album through a dixie cup and string) told me I need to appreciate his music?!?! I can hear some tape hiss missing ... I mean I can't hear the missing tape hiss ... I mean ... You know what I mean!) ducks
ReplyDeletenot to complain--COMPLAINT FOLLOWS--but why oh why did he so rarely play "Time Fades Away"....there must be version s akin to the monster version on the album of the same name floating around, verdad?<(4 pmac).
ReplyDeleteI know, I know. I can read Wikipedia too, but still...
