Da Boids Is Da Woid Part Th' One Before Th' One Antecedent

As a sharp-eyed (well, awake) one of th' Four Or Five Guys© noted, Sweetheart jumped a place, ousting The Notorious Byrd Brothers from its scheduled place in this, the most popular of Foam Features. My blogger stats-bot tells me that Da Boids regularly attract page hits in the near double figures, so some a youse guys mus' be readin' dem twice!

Here it is, the Greatest Record Ever Made (along, it must be said, with several others, including YOUR FAVORITE HERE) with the usual sumptuous slew of xtry trx that have made False Memory Foam@ a household name for Billy and Trixie Household of Spokane, WA.

Note original cover, with "stereo" logo above roofline. You don't care.

  1. I can't wait to see how you will hide the link. Please provide a download link, this begging is very hard on my knees. Plus I'm still not over the loss of the beloved Mrs. Myra Nussbaum. Please, Please , Please (note the James Brown reference) provide a link.

    1. It won't *necessarily* make you paint like Van Gogh and compose like Beethoven - they told you that, right?

  4. I trust it won't take 20 years to get to the link (as it will me to the previous issue's link.....) Please. Probably the greatest album, yes. I remember listening to it through headphones for the first time, years after I'd bought the album. Mindblowing...Mind you my ears have deteriorated a lot since then, probably due to listening through earphones a lot.....

  6. The link has been up for some time! Clue: it's not in this comment.

Come on, work with me on this. It's not like you have anything better to do.

  7. Thanks for making it easier this time (that is, by highlighting the
connection among a certain, you know, Four Or Five characters).

    1. ... but worth it. I think I've irritated everyone enough with stealth links. The Four Or Five Guys® have poor eyesight, shaky hands, and attention span crippled by decades of chemical recklessness. They deserve better. Hey, Todd - buy the Cave Flowers album, then I can sleep nights.

    2. We have to bear in mind that at least one of th' 4/5 uses a rubber-tipped stick attached to his forehead to operate his internets.

  13. Great, I got the here one, but not the earlier, my little index finger was not showing any sign of life higher up. A propos of Notorious the latest crew working under the name of The Burrito Brothers, absolutely no relation to the originals (or even the later non-originals), have just released an album called, guess what? - The Notorious Burrito Brothers - complete with copycat front photo (with one of the band substituting for the horse. A friend just sent me the files and I've listened to it. I'll probably never listen to it again. Going back to the real Notorious, I wonder, seeing that Hillman was miscredited with co-writing Get To You, instead of Gene Clark, whether he ever passed any royalties on.

  14. As the interweb notes;
Some people, including the Irish playwright George Bernard Shaw, have been in favor of eliminating apostrophes entirely. Shaw called them "uncouth bacilli," though it's unlikely that Shaw's analogy to bacteria will help the apostrophe go away anytime soon.

    2. Hey kids! Its'y Pet peeve-a-rama / Random gripes time...!

One of the mostest notoriously irritating use's of APOSTROPHE'S, to me, at least, is it's MISUSE in the context of "possessive's" . . .

(See anything WRONG with the above's statement...?)

Second and almost as irratational is the use of apostrophes when citing a "Decade" . . .

      eg (no Marshall, Tex):

      It's: '60s and '70s folks NOT: 60's and 70's ! ! !

As in: Once during a memorable (Vegas?) '60s (or was it '7Ts?) press conference utterance, The King of Rock 'n' Roll * said something like:

"I like the BEARDS..." when he was trying to convey that one of his favorite In groups was the "BYRDS" ! ! !

      * (NOTE: NOT "rock n roll" NOT "rock 'n roll" NOT "rock n' roll" and most certainly NOT "rock & roll" ! ! !

Pencilheads down, test in the morning.

    3. I've always favored rock n' roll myself, because it looks just swell like that. Rock 'n' Roll? Are youse kiddin' me? Also too, without th' apostrophe how could we spell "th'"?

    5. O.K., I take it all back. Goin' Back, it seems I just may have poster-boyed while hangry. In need of a roll in my tum tum. Or is it "tum-tum"...?

      Argh.

I's all rumbly in me tumbly... I best not say more til AFTER I git me some supper...
