Something Sunday Dept. - Vintage Tom

Tom Rush
has been FFA©, and extensively, but this one slipped us by. If any youse bums is in the way of being desirous of his other swell rekkids, take a hinge here first, and let me know. The links provided by the 4/5G© I may not be able to up-re.

What I Know is a class act, vintage Rush from 2009 - yesterday. The handsome old devil gets Emmylou Harris, Nanci Griffith and Bonnie Bramlett to shiver their tonsils and the glow is warm as a rich red wine. Major dude.

  2. I fell in love with his singing/playing when I got the Elektra comp Folksong '65 (a must-have, to my mind). Any chance of a re-up at all from anyone who was lucky enough to grab it the compendium posted here in '20 as mentioned above? Thankx. -Muzak McMusics

    2. I didn't know that I existed in 2020. I'm not sure that I did. But evidently the "compendium" existed. I scoured the comments in vain, even playing them backwards at 78 rpm hoping for secret information to no avail. I've been a day late & a dollar short since I set my suitcase down... So like Anonymous, I'll grovel around.

    3. I'm having this comment printed backwards on my windshield so the car ahead of me can read it.

  3. On college campuses in 1968, Tom's 'The Circle Game' came wafting out of many a dorm room.

  4. Thanks for the Rush here sumthin I came across on a blog which fits with the Kula Shaker vibe...

Psychedelic/experimental instrumental band from São Paulo, Brasil, founded in 2012, combining psychedelia, exotica and groove. Bombay Groovy is inspired by 70's rock, in which guitar is replaced by the sitar to elaborate, with vigour and unique personality, a new concept of rock as union of Orient and Occident. An unusual formation composed of sitar, the solid and versatile timbre of the Hammond, and a frenetic rhythm section of drums and bass.

  5. Rush was very popular when I was in high school during the early 80s and I never got into them but maybe it's time I have him a try. With backup singers like that he/they must have something going and it must have been a swell after party in the studio hot tub.
