Myra Nussbaum's Rack Is A Mess! Dept.

Foam-O-Graph© courtesy Peggy Guggenheim

Uh-oh! Mrs. Myra Nussbaum's rack has been interfered with! Thoughtless bums fingering her goods have misplaced albums in the bargain section! D'oh!

Can you help Myra identify the misplaced albums, subscribers? Some have even been filed the wrong way up! How many can you spot? Why not invite the gang to an album spotting party in your den! Or gather the family around the home computer for a wholesome evening's entertainment! If you're a shut-in with tubes up your nose and ass, ask your carer to solve the furshlugginer puzzle for you! Or perhaps you're on Death Row? Your guard will be pleased to hear the gales of laughter coming from your cell! Maybe you've just been in a terrible freeway pile-up and you're trying to use your blood-smeared phone as your life slips away! Don't waste your time dialling 911 - cheer yourself up with this week's FoamKwiz™!

THESE ARE THE RULES - THE RULES ARE THESE: The rules have changed! Please read the comments right through! Thank you for your participation in what is probably the most mildly amusing album-related puzzle competition featuring an elderly dame in a bikini on the internet right now! At least this bit of it!

  5. Howdy Pardner,

Bit chilly tonight here at the ol' homestead so I figure while the Miss' and I are inside enjoying another round of Doc Bradshaw's smooth n' very rare whisky, I'd check in and see how you city folks are doing. And what do see - another brain teaser. I can say with absolute certainty I can name four of those dancin' whack ah' mole LP's. One of those records was what featured at a freak in here at the ranch a good while back and let's just say, for the uninitiated fellow traveler - it had him weeping like a baby by the time side two was over. Good thing I didn't play (redacted) next...might have had to have him talked off the roof.

    As ever,

Billy Gates of the Double X Ranch.

    5. I'm stuck at claiming two, and one of 'em is after Jonder got it, so I'm really at one.

Is it your #1 that's missing? I can just make out a redline, but I think it needs a shot of viagra.

    2. Eh? Red line? They're all "missing" so far. #1 is the tan-colored sleeve just behind Jesus Use Me in the LH crate. Let's try for that.

    3. A Fine Old English NoblemonJanuary 23, 2022 at 7:42 AM

I can see two in the first 3 racks and 3 in the last one (Please Make it Stop). Do I need new specs to find the 10th one, which you mentioned, but I blinked and your comment had gone ?

So if #1 is the tan one with lines on like sheet music then I think it is very similar to 6 wives but not quite.

Does any of that make sense, or is it way past my bedtime?

  14. #1 is Terry Riley's In C (and what a blindingly great thing that is), and Withered Hope is in a clear lead as we come around the curve into the straight.

#2? (the one behind #1) First one to name it gets a point.

NB Somebody put gum on the tenth album so it doesn't pop up.

    2. No, you may not! We'll wait until someone (including you, possibly,) gets #3, and then we'll move on. If nobody gets it after a day or so, I'll tell youse bums what it is, and a point to me.

      HINT: Left hand edge.

  16. I got five.
None in the left row, apart from Terry Riley in C, which I can "C" now.
I thought it might have been Faust IV, but it didn't look quite right.
The other one looks familiar, but I can't quite place it. Ash Ra Tempel? Dr John? Dang! I give up
Second row from the left I got one. The other is a complete mystery.
Third row, I got one. The other looks very familiar, but again, can't quite place it. I thought it might be Jr Walker or Albert Ayler. But I figgered Ayler was too obscure so it had to be Coltrane. But it's none of those as far as I can tell.
The row on the right is dead easy. I got all three, I'm fairly sure.

  17. Right. I'm claiming a point here. It's Tome Paxton's "Six." So I am in second place behind Withered Hope as we go into the curve.

What's #4? The one immediately behind Tom Paxton? First to answer correctly grabs the point!

No, its brilliant for compilations, put the artists name in as the artist and then "Various Artists" or something similar in as the Album Artist. I do this all the time. I did it with your Listy McListface for instance.

Sharing second place, the sturdy percherons Steve Shark and th' Nobster, and coming in behind (the way they like it), are reliable mules Billy Gates and Yours Truly, with one point each!
