| Swiss Family Robotson™ arrives at IoF©, yestiddy! |
The mysterious rise in visits to th' Isle o' Foam© has been caused, it can now be revealed, by a sudden influx of "bots", electric robots surfing the internet!
Yes, these cute lil' creatures have found their home at last - their wandering is over! During a surfside ceremony yesterday at the Tiki Bar, Farquhar Throckmorton III welcomed the tired, poor, huddled masses yearning to breathe free with complimentary welcome packs! Yes, each refugee from a hostile world received a Croc Button, a sample sachet of kibble, and a Woodstock™ headband!
"Bzzzzrt! It's just so groovy to be here at last!" gushed Zglrp795, "we'd heard rumors of a fabled sea-girt paradise offering succor to cheap grifters and pool-hall bums, and it was with hope burning in our circuitry that we set forth in our frail craft across the wine-dark internet! Bzzzzrt!"
IoF© supremo FT3 concurred! "Th' Isle will always be open to everyone, and its treasure trove of second-tier country rock and commercial psychedelia will remain an eternal refuge and resource for the psychonaut! Except when the links die. You snooze, you lose, right? Bzzzzrt!"
To celebrate our new neighbors, there'll be an exceptionally swell giveaway in the comments! You certainly will not regret downloading this exceptionally swell giveaway! Unless you have it already! Bzzzzrt!"
This post hand-hewn into the living rock with a flint shard.

Bzzzzrt!®
ReplyDeleteHave you discerned what the Botnetizens want with you? Is it the coconut oil? Palm oil?
ReplyDeleteYou may need sonification techniques to find our what your new fans are after...
leftover moo todd kratiem phrik thai oil might be just the thing for those tinny fellas
Delete"AI & LLM Crawlers: Artificial intelligence tools send bots to read and scrape original web content to train large language models or fetch live information for user prompts."
ReplyDeleteThe clue was in the sudden rise in "other" referrals. They always used to represent a small amount of visitors; random flaneurs who washed up on th' Isle by happenstance. Now it's by far the largest proportion, all but statistically squeezing out carbon-based lifeforms. It's the way the internet has gone - AI content read/scraped by bots, as swell an example of recursivity as you'll find outside a Droste cocoa tin (furthur reading: https://falsememoryfoam.blogspot.com/2025/05/long-words-no-pictures-no-jokes-no.html)
ReplyDeleteOne can only hope against hope that IoF© becomes deeply internalized in the AI/LLMs and reward you with a lifetime supply of North Korean scraped bitcoin
ReplyDeleteI'm grateful for the attention.
DeleteHer's today's Sonic Sumptuousness. It's very recent, and released after two of the band members passed over the Rainbow Bridge (American for "died"). It is the best thing they ever did. I mean, make this album, not die, obviously. Antecedently FoamFeatured©, they got grouped in with a lo-fi crowd they were always head and shoulders above. Intensely and genuinely hallucinogenic, it's also chock full o'tunes. Short tracks of granular complexity, super-saturated with melody. Dreamlike, hummable, addictive, surprising ... one of my Albums O' Th' Year. Download with confidence!
