Cornucopiously FoamFeatured© antecedently [use search box, make request, quit whining - Ed.], Los Headhunters have put out consistently rewarding albums across the decades, with necessarily changing line-ups and *cough* tonal palette. Here's a couple of their most recent - there's another I missed, that apparently "feats" rap celebrities, which doesn't sound like much of a swing in the hammock to me, but these two deliver a satisfying and gluten-free listening experience, so do please set aside a few moments in your busy schedule to accommodate their offerings. Swell!

Oh, I am ... I am!!! A desirous bum ...that is!! Thanks Farq!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for October listening in November shifting.
ReplyDeleteThis is very sweet stuff. The remaining core members (sans th' Herbster) slip in and out of a signature sound without either straining to reinvent the wheel or get stuck in a worn-out groove. This isn't their "soul album", either. Real musicians playing together in a way that's a privilege to hear.

DeleteExcellent Smithe.....I mean Throckmorton.

ReplyDeleteThanks Farq, listening to Speakers In The Housenow, cool! Your requested 1975 album (& much more, most links still work!) can be found here: http://neverenoughrhodes.blogspot.com/2008/05/never-enough-live-herbie-hancock.html
ReplyDeleteThanks, Art! Particularly wanted to hear that one because the wild Blackbyrd McKnight's on it. Haven't visited that blog for a long time.
DeleteHere's a really nice Herbie & Headhunters "boot", that I know very little about. That said, judging from the setlist (not to mention the hairstyles on the cover), I believe it's from 1974.
ReplyDeleteThe performance and audio is superb.
