I live very close to what's being called the Eaton fire. Having long since, how to say . . . "evacuated" for safety's sake, I have been idling away the time poring over a specialized "Fire Report" (courtesy of Google Maps) designed to show which structures in my neighborhood have -- or preferably have not -- been affected. Earlier today, Google indicated that the buildings on fire within a few blocks from my place included a post office, a florist, and an ALDI grocery store. The good news, however, was that the ALDI was "Less busy than usual" at the time.

DeleteMeanwhile in East Midlands of England (and elsewhere here) we have more frequent severe flooding incidents. I'm lucky, well away from any flood plains. Look after yourself Crab Devil.
